Paint correction is a controlled process of removing a tiny layer of clear coat to level out defects like swirl marks, scratches and etching.
It's done using a dual action polisher, dedicated pads and carefully chosen compounds and polishes. The right combination is different for every paint system.
A single-stage enhancement is enough for most well-maintained vehicles. A two-stage correction is reserved for deeper defects and concours-level finishes, and always follows a paint depth reading to keep the process within safe limits.
